A Christian Response To Building The Third Temple of God

My name is Byron Stinson, and I recently was asked by Jewish Rabbis and friends of mine to help find a pure, spotless Red Cow in Texas, and send it to Israel. These Fathers of the faith have been looking for this perfect cow for 40 years. They need it, to fulfill the following Biblical command of God.

Numbers 19

19 1-3 The Lord said to Moses and Aaron, “Here is another of my laws: Tell the people of Israel to bring you a red heifer without defect, one that has never been yoked.

If you know your Bible, then you understand that “Israel” in this passage with respect to today, is a people group scattered into all the nations of the earth. They are known as the 10 lost tribes. If you are not familiar with this, then please study it. This understanding will open the Old Testament to Christians in ways that are extremely important for today.

This is why my Jewish friends felt comfortable asking for my help. And why I feel comfortable asking for the help of any Christian in the world that is drawn by the spirit of the Lord to support Israel and to support building the 3rd Temple of God.

I do understand and hear from many, about fears. Fears that the Antichrist is prophesied in many books of the Bible. That he will come and claim to be the Messiah in this 3rd Temple. And yes, the antichrist will come.

Here is one example of Biblical teaching.

2nd Thessalonians 2:

1-2 And now, what about the coming again of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered together to meet him? Please don’t be upset and excited, dear brothers, by the rumor that this day of the Lord has already begun. If you hear of people having visions and special messages from God about this, or letters that are supposed to have come from me, don’t believe them. 3 Don’t be carried away and deceived regardless of what they say. For that day will not come until two things happen: first, there will be a time of great rebellion against God, and then the man of rebellion will come—the son of hell. 4 He will defy every god there is and tear down every other object of adoration and worship. He will go in and sit as God in the temple of God, claiming that he himself is God. 5 Don’t you remember that I told you this when I was with you? 6 And you know

what is keeping him from being here already; for he can come only when his time is ready.

So should we be afraid of this? For that answer let's dissect this next passage from the book of Daniel, chapter 9 vs. 26

26 “After this period of 434 years, the Anointed One will be killed, his kingdom still unrealized . . . and a king will arise whose armies will destroy the city and the Temple. They will be overwhelmed as with a flood, and war and its miseries are decreed from that time to the very end. 27 This king will make a seven-year treaty with the people, but after half that time, he will break his pledge and stop the Jews from all their sacrifices and their offerings; then, as a climax to all his terrible deeds, the Enemy shall utterly defile the sanctuary of God. But in God’s time and plan, his judgment will be poured out upon this Evil One.”

For Christians the obvious answer to who is the Anointed one who is killed and his kingdom still unrealized is Yeshua.

Next, we see a King that will arise and use his armies to destroy the city and the temple. The 2nd Temple was destroyed by Rome. This was done humanly by Emperor Titus. But I tell you, the evil King is the Antichrist.  On 4 August 70 CE (the 9th day of Av and possibly the day on which Tisha B'Av was observed) or 30 August 70 CE, Roman legions under Titus retook and destroyed much of Jerusalem and the Second Temple.

Next, we see the children of Abraham, the tribes of Judah, and others still in the land at that time, will be overwhelmed as with a flood. Misery is decreed from the destruction of the Temple until the last days. If you know the history of the tribe of Judah in exile from 70 AD until the return to the land and rebirth of Israel today you know this was what happened.

Next, we see this “king” “The Antichrist” still very alive and fighting against the Temple and the people of God. He will use “some evil human” to make a 7-year treaty with the people, but after that time, he will break his pledge and stop the Jews from all their sacrifices and their offerings, then as a climax to all his terrible deeds, the Enemy shall utterly defile the sanctuary of God.

Notice that the Antichrist is defiling God's sanctuary. Not his own. The temple will never belong to the Antichrist. The holy mountain of God belongs to God.  It always has been God's mountain and it always will be. And as such, it is the Holy Mountain where we as Christians should honor and support what is about to happen.

And the final word? But in God’s time and plan, his judgment will be poured out upon this Evil One.”

So my Christian friends, Yes, the Antichrist will come and be revealed in the Temple that is about to be built. Do not fear this! Rejoice, for we have a promise that our Saviour is also coming and will be revealed.

Now the next objection I hear from well-meaning Christians. Jesus is the complete sin offering. And to offer any sacrifice after the work of Christ is wrong. So we should not be part of assisting or allowing those sacrifices. What is my argument?

Let's go through these verses in the book of Acts chapter 21:

18 The second day Paul took us with him to meet with James and the elders of the Jerusalem church. 19 After greetings were exchanged, Paul recounted the many things God had accomplished among the Gentiles through his work.

20 They praised God but then said, “You know, dear brother, how many thousands of Jews have also believed, and they are all very insistent that Jewish believers must continue to follow the Jewish traditions and customs.[c] 21 Our Jewish Christians here at Jerusalem have been told that you are against the laws of Moses, against our Jewish customs, and that you forbid the circumcision of their children. 22 Now what can be done? For they will certainly hear that you have come.

23 “We suggest this: We have four men here who are preparing to shave their heads and take some vows. 24 Go with them to the Temple and have your head shaved too—and pay for theirs to be shaved.

“Then everyone will know that you approve of this custom for the Hebrew Christians and that you yourself obey the Jewish laws and are in line with our thinking in these matters.

25 “As for the Gentile Christians, we aren’t asking them to follow these Jewish customs at all—except for the ones we wrote to them about: not to eat food offered to idols, not to eat unbled meat from strangled animals, and not to commit fornication.”

26-27 So Paul agreed to their request and the next day went with the men to the Temple for the ceremony, thus publicizing his vow to offer a sacrifice seven days later with the others.

First, please notice that these verses deal with the Fathers of our faith. Jews who never stopped being Jews. And never stopped the sacrifices and offerings at the Temple that was in Jerusalem. They are the direct disciples of Jesus and knew him better than anyone. These men are an example of a type of religious Jewish believer we should support. And of course, we should support all Jews worldwide that have believed in the blood of Yeshua for salvation.

So, In verse 2 we see the words that many thousands of Jewish followers of Yeshua were very insistent that they should continue following Jewish customs and traditions. Of course Sacrifices and offering to the Lord in the Temple was the main example of this.

And what was the concern? It was that some were saying that Paul did not believe that Jews should offer those offering and sacrifices. And if Paul had believed that Jews should not have a Temple, and should not offer sacrifices and offerings, then we can assume Paul would have said that! But he did not. Instead, to show us gentile Christians that it is permissible and right for the Jewish believers to do what the law required of them, he went and made religious vows and sacrifices himself.

And I find it wonderful, that in the very next verse the attention is given to the freedom of Christians in the nations. Read this again please 25 “As for the Gentile Christians, we aren’t asking them to follow these Jewish customs at all—except for the ones we wrote to them about: not to eat food offered to idols, not to eat unbled meat from strangled animals, and not to commit fornication.”

So here is my argument. Paul and the disciples saw a very real separation from living out believing in Yeshua in Judaism, from living out life as a gentile Christian. These disciples and leaders of the church, in order to not put a stumbling block to believing in Yeshua, saw it best to not require gentile Christians to fulfill the higher responsibilities of the Jewish faith. My question? Is it too much to allow the Fathers of our faith the same respect today? Can we allow those who desire to approach God from the Jewish perspective to participate in those customs and traditions? Or do they have to stop?

I believe we should allow Jews to be Jews and Christians to be Christians. And put our belief in this.  That the hope of salvation can only be provided by God. That we are all sinners. No matter how hard we try, we all fail. We all fall short of the perfection of God. And we should understand that God, is the law. And the only way back to purity is by the plans, spirit, and works of God.

In conclusion of this article. It is my sincere belief that God so loved the world that He wishes none would perish. That each man and nation is within the reach of our Father in Heaven. And He has a plan of redemption that is not fully revealed. However, we can at this juncture in time see that God has accomplished what seemed impossible. He sent his own people, the children of Abraham, into the nations as a punishment for not following his ways. They are back in the land in these last days. Just as promised. These men of faith, continue to do their best, by human standards, to physically show God how much they love Him and how sorry they were to not follow His commands.

Now, these same Fathers of the faith have reached out to Israel in the nations. Those grafted into the olive tree. Those in churches worldwide. And have asked us to participate in building a Temple to the Lord. Not a Jewish temple. No. A house of prayer for all the nations that love the Lord. They know that they don't understand everything. We should know the same! They are willing to open doors of unity here in this very land of Israel. I believe the response of every Christian should be to support the building of the Temple. Let us see what the Lord has planned next! Let's trust that when the antichrist comes, then one much greater will also come! He is our salvation. His name is Yeshua. He was born just as prophesied in the book of Micah chapter 5.

2 “O Bethlehem Ephrathah, you are but a small Judean village, yet you will be the birthplace of my King who is alive from everlasting ages past!” 3 God will abandon his people to their enemies until she who is to give birth has her son; then at last his fellow countrymen—the exile remnants of Israel—will rejoin their brethren in their own land.

4 And he shall stand and feed his flock in the strength of the Lord, in the majesty of the name of the Lord his God, and his people shall remain there undisturbed, for he will be greatly honored all around the world. 5 He will be our Peace.

And it happened. A child was born to a virgin, in the direct line of King David. He practiced all the sacrifices and gave all the Jewish offerings and then gave himself for the world. Let us be unified and overcome death by the name of salvation. Yeshua.

By the hand of the Lord, our team of believers accomplished getting not 1 but 5 perfect Red Cows to Israel. In just over one year, I believe we will see the world moved by the ceremony on the Mount of Olives. My prayer will be answered.  Not my will but Your will be done, Lord! Come join the movement! As I write this, our team is working to build a new website. www.buildthetemple.com The website is not open yet but is on the way. Please make a note to check out how you can be involved in 2023.
